About Sony Clearance Centre

The Sony Clearance Centre are Australia's only official Sony outlet store which have exclusive access to Sony carton damaged and end of line stock. The Sony Clearance centre have been around since 2005 and provide users with access to massive savings on Sony products such as LCD TV's, Speakers, MP3 Players and more.

Project Brief

Not yet ready to sell products directly from their website, the Sony Clearance Centre did have an established eBay account from where they sold some of their products online and wanted a website that would assist in promoting these eBay products as well as providing general information about their company and Brisbane based showroom. While the website did not have a large number of pages, much time was put into the planning and design to ensure the final product would be one that the Sony Clearance Centre was extremely happy with.

The Result

In the planning of the project, Ziller were aware one of the main goals was to promote the products being sold via eBay, so code was developed to work with the eBay API which allowed product information to be pulled directly from Sony Clearance's eBay account onto the website. The homepage consists of a "Products Ending Soon" section which pulls information on the three products whose auctions are ending the soonest, allowing users to easily see which products are close to finishing and possibly find a great deal. Information such as the product name, description, current bid and auction close time are all displayed, and a call to action bid button also is present to allow the user to easily place a bid on the product.
